It has been a long time since posting and a lot has happened. I recently learned Telluride Mountain Resort is using several photos in upcoming web and print advertisements and Ski Logik and Bent Gate Mountaineering are using two photos in upcoming issues of Backcountry Ski Magazine.
Beyond that, I moved into a new apartment in East Harlem. I've been working and enjoying the summer, and now the fall. The book is coming along slowly, but it is making progress and I like where it is going. So more on that soon, hopefully.
I recently rented a 105mm macro lens from Adorama and went out to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens in Park Slope and shot a bunch of photos. I had wanted to use a macro lens for so long, but never had the opportunity. So I finally broke down and went for it.
Unfortunately, the night before there was a big thunder/hail storm which knocked down and completely shredded a bunch of the flowers and leaves. But I still found more than enough beautiful things to shoot.
Some images from the day:
All the leaves Camila is standing on were the victims from the hail storm. Luckily we were there early enough because when we walked back later it was all swept up into neat little piles making the area far less striking.
Some more photos and words from my travels coming soon(ish).
